Despite all of the Chelada, Tecate, Del Sol, Corona, and other imported mexican beers I consumed during my time in Delano, I never tried Caguama. In fact, I don’t even remember seeing it in the stores.Fresno stores have it though, and I bought a six pack awhile back.
‘Caguama’ is slang for the loggerhead turtles found off the coast of Mexico and Central America. They are considered to be signs of good luck. The company claims that its recipe is from the turn of the century.
It’s not a bad tasting beer, but this is because there isn’t much to actually taste. It lacks the flavor and heart that other Mexican beers have. I drank three bottles before coming to this conclusion. The other three were mixed with Tabasco, V-8 juice, and lime salt.

Hi! Argentum Vulgaris from Nether Region of the Earth II suggested that his readers take a look at your blog. Very nice! You have a lot of interesting articles and pictures.
Have you ever tried Polar from Venezuela? It’s good! Don’t know if one can get it in the States any longer, though … maybe in Miami.
Take Care!
