I came across this painting while surfing the internet this summer and had it on my desktop background for quite awhile. Unfortunately, I don’t know who its creator is and I would really like to find out so that I can credit the artist.
I love the piece so much that I had it tattooed on my right calf
yesterday! The tattoo was done by artist Thom Godfrey.
I originally met Thom while tattooist Billy Von was working on my chestpiece at Mad Dog Tattoo last winter. Thom also designed my ‘One Life One Chance’ tattoo that is on my right upper arm and inked it at Bakersfield’s first annual ‘Bring It Together’ convention (not to be confused with the annual Central Valley convention or TatDude’s Breast Cancer benefit conventions).
Thom introduced me to Oliver Peck’s tattoo healing process because my skin tends to scab heavily.
Thom and his wife Petrina are in the process of opening up a new shop in northern Bakersfield called Nothing Sacred.
